Namaz First

Terms of Use

The plain terms.

Effective 24 October 2026 · Last updated 24 October 2026

In short: Namaz First needs a subscription, billed by Google Play. It renews automatically until you cancel in Google Play. Refunds follow Google Play’s policy. Prayer times are calculated estimates, and the app is a tool for your own devotion, not a religious ruling.

1. About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Viltrumite Studios, a sole proprietorship of A Humaid Abdullah, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India (GSTIN 33DTHPA4924E1Z4) (“we”, “us”). By installing or using Namaz First (the “app”) you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.

You must be 18 or older to use the app and buy a subscription.

2. What the app does

Namaz First reminds you at the five daily prayer times, keeps the apps you choose closed during prayer time until you mark “I’ve prayed”, and between prayers opens them after you read a short Quran verse. To do this it needs Android permissions such as location, notifications, alarms and the Accessibility Service, which you can turn off at any time.

Blocking depends on your phone. Some phone makers’ battery or security settings can stop it working, and we can’t promise it will work on every device or every Android version. The app doesn’t block phone calls or emergency calls. Please don’t block apps you may need in an emergency.

3. Prayer times and religious content

Prayer times are calculated from your approximate location using standard astronomical methods. They are estimates and may differ by a few minutes from your local mosque or authority. Please check with them where accuracy matters.

The duas, verses and other religious content are provided for your personal devotion and reminder only. They are not a fatwa or religious ruling and do not replace guidance from a qualified scholar. We take care with Arabic text and translations, but if you spot an error, please tell us.

4. Subscriptions

The app requires a paid subscription. There is no free trial. Current plans in India:

PlanPrice
Yearly₹1,999 per year. Eligible new subscribers may be offered the first year for ₹599; it then renews at ₹1,999 per year.
Monthly₹249 per month.

The price you pay, including any applicable taxes, is the one shown in Google Play when you confirm the purchase. Offers are limited to one per Google account and may change or end.

Billing and auto-renewal

Cancelling

You can cancel at any time in Google Play → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Namaz First → Cancel. You keep access until the end of the period you’ve paid for. Uninstalling the app does not cancel your subscription.

Refunds

Purchases are processed by Google Play, so refunds are handled under Google Play’s refund policy. You can request one from Google Play. If Google can’t help, email us and we’ll look at your request fairly. Cancelling stops future charges but does not by itself refund the current period. This doesn’t limit any rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

5. Using the app fairly

We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app on your own devices while your subscription is active. Please don’t copy, resell, reverse-engineer or tamper with the app, get around its subscription, or use it to break the law. The app’s name, design, artwork and code belong to us. Quranic text and duas are not claimed as ours.

6. No guarantees

We work hard to make the app reliable, but we provide it “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we don’t guarantee it will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that prayer times, reminders or blocking will always be exact or on time. The app is a tool to help you build a habit. Keeping your prayers remains your own responsibility.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as a missed prayer, a missed message or notification while apps were blocked, or loss of data. Our total liability for any claim about the app is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law, including for fraud or for your statutory rights as a consumer.

8. Ending use

You can stop using the app at any time by cancelling your subscription and uninstalling it. We may suspend access if you seriously break these terms. If we ever discontinue the app, we’ll give reasonable notice where we can.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We’ll change the date above and, for important changes, tell you in the app before they apply. If you keep using the app after that, the new terms apply.

10. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to your rights under consumer protection law to approach a consumer commission where you live, the courts at Chennai, Tamil Nadu have exclusive jurisdiction. Please contact us first; most problems can be sorted out quickly.
